Guided tours Service

 SMNovellaRID300

Thanks to the agreement between the Comune di Firenze, Ministero dell'Interno-Fondo Edifici di Culto and Opera per Santa Maria Novella, guided tours will be offered for the complex of Santa Maria Novella.

The tours, courtesy of Associazione MUS.E, will accompany the public to the comprehension of one extraordinary record of the history of the Dominican order but also of a fundamental chapter of the city of Florence. In this sense particular attention will be given to the history of the order, whose theological characteristics are subject to all the series of architectonics and artistries of the convent, but also to the active participation of citizenry, that always supported the life of the complex thatks to the bequests, clients and patrons, involving time and time again the major artists of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance: between these Giotto, Masaccio, Filippo Brunelleschi, Paolo Uccello, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Filippino Lippi.
